The Vampire Diaries
Diários do Vampiro é uma série de livros de terror e romance da autora estadunidense Lisa Jane Smith sobre a vida de uma garota chamada Elena Gilbert que se vê às voltas com dois irmãos vampiros.
A trilogia original The Vampire Diaries foi inicialmente publicada em 1991, sendo eles The Awakening, The Struggle e The Fury. Com a pressão dos leitores, Lisa Jane Smith lançou em 1992 mais um volume, Dark Reunion. Depois de um hiato de quase 16 anos de escrita, Lisa anunciou que novos livros de The Vampire Diaries estavam em obras. A primeira parte dos novos livros, intitulado The Vampire Diaries - The Return: Nightfall, foi publicada em 10 de fevereiro de 2009.
No Brasil o primeiro volume da série foi publicado em agosto de 2009, chamado O Despertar. Em novembro foi lançado o segundo volume, sob o nome de O Confronto. Em março de 2010 foi lançado A Fúria, e em agosto de 2010 o Reunião Sombria. A nova trilogia O Retorno teve seu primeiro livro lançado em dezembro de 2010, intitulado Anoitecer e Almas Sombrias, o segundo livro, em maio de 2011.

Hi you lovely people, I cant believe it’s that time a year again. ISF’s almost one year old, and I am about to on my own new age of 33. I have no idea how i got this lucky, beacuse every year, I get these incredible gifts from these amazing people. I mean everything from personal… scrapbooks, photos, jewellery. And then, I sort of thinking of the costs of this atoms, the raw materials, the manufactoring, the packaging, the energy consumption. And then I just thought, I wanna level with everyone, I just gonna ask them, if they want to, if they wanna send a gift, to send the most incredible gift they can never send me, JUST DONATE ISF. Because that gift will go such a long way… Now listen, I wanna figure out a way to thank you guys. I don’t how I’m gonna do it, I’m gonna figuer out whether I send out thank you emails. I’m gonna make you understand how much I appreciate and need you. And I just gonna be really honest with you. We can’t do this alone, and it’s not you’ve done enough or i’ve done enough, we’ve done so much. You’ve gone a bug beyond call a duty and I know it’s really tough time in the world and our lives.
